Over 200 years ago there was class of furniture that in my opinion was the best of any time period. It was functional, beautiful, and crafted so well that many of those pieces still stand today. They were made by very talented craftsmen using only hand tools and a keen eye to achieve the superior quality that has in many cases long been forgotten.
I am Danny Byrd owner of Byrd Woodworking located in Eaton Ohio. I have a passion for making antique reproductions of all styles, including Chippendale, William and Mary, Shaker, Queen Ann and more. I use the same construction techniques that have been used for centuries. Each piece is made one at a time in my shop by my hands, from personally selecting the lumber for your project, to the final finish. My shop is not based on production, but quality.
